Questions from the crypt

Frequently asked

Do you accept walk-ins?

Absolutely! Come on by to talk to one of our artists or piercers — walk-ins are always welcome at both locations.

How much will my tattoo cost?

The cost of a tattoo depends entirely on its detailing, size, style and placement. Stop by or reach out with your idea and we'll give you an honest quote — no surprises.

Does getting a tattoo or piercing hurt?

The most frequent question there is. Pain level varies by person and placement — our artists and piercers will walk you through what to expect and keep you comfortable the whole way.

How do I care for my new tattoo or piercing?

Proper aftercare is crucial for healing and preventing infection. Full instructions are below — and you'll leave the shop with everything you need to know.

Heal right

Aftercare

Tattoos

  • Keep the bandage on as directed; after 4–7 days remove it and wash gently with antibacterial soap and warm water. Pat dry — never scrub.
  • No direct sunlight for 2–3 weeks, and no picking or scratching while it heals.
  • Showers are fine, but no pools, lakes, ponds — and certainly no beaches until healed.
  • Skip scented lotions and petroleum-based creams (Vaseline, A&D, Neosporin).
  • No exercise for the first 24 hours, and don't shave over it until fully healed.
  • Stay hydrated — it genuinely helps you heal.

Piercings

  • Clean twice daily with sterile saline — spray, then air dry or pat with a paper towel (cloth towels harbor bacteria).
  • Don't touch it. No spinning, no moving — not even while cleaning.
  • No submerging for four weeks: no pools, lakes, ponds or oceans.
  • Avoid alcohol, peroxide, tea tree oil and other harsh cleaners.
  • Basic piercings heal in 4–6 months; cartilage can take up to a year. Oral: 3–5 months. Navel/nipple: 6–9 months. Be patient.
  • Specialty piercings may need alternate care — ask your piercer.
